| This plack was on a large rock which was once part of one of the Donner Party Cabins during their time in the Sierra Nevadas. It lists the names of the Party Members, I don't remember how many survived. |

| Funny thing is that we drove from St Joseph Missouri and took this nearly exact route! |

| The top platform where the statue is was the level of the snow when the donner party were stranded in that winter, it was at least 10 feet! Crazy!!! |
