Going Back 300 years...

standing on the gravel path which is the actual outline
of George Washington's birthplace. In the background is
the reproduction kitchen and House (built on what
is believed to be the old distillery foundation).

in front of the drying tobacco.

For MLK day our family took advantage of the free national parks day and visited one of our national treasures. We went to the location of the birth of our first president so that we could learn more about the colonial period since thats is what we are studying in our history work now. Will and I had last been here when I was a few days from delivering Silas (our oldest). It was a good outing and more controlled than this latest visit! My kids are crazy! haha! No, seriously!
