Day3: if Arkansas is pronounced with a "saw" why does Kansas get pronounced with a sass?

You guessed it! We hit Arkansas today! We began our day in west Tennessee where we saw the home of Casey Jones the engineer of Steam railway days! Then we swung by Graceland... To drive my baby sis crazy and finally ended on the border with Oklahoma which we will visit tomorrow! We passed through three state capitals, Richmond ... Nashville ... Little Rock! We learned that Al Gore's dad was a senator too and saw a nuclear plant in the middle of Arkansas! Big day!! Texas here we come!

Day2: Tennessee is Crazy

We drove into and nearly thru Tennessee today! We came through the Cumberland gap and past the Davy Crockett inn! It was exciting to see such a huge part of America's past in reality! We also ran into some new experiences; fog + rain and car sickness(Libi)! It was a day we shall not soon forget!

Colonial Times at Our Home

We've been studying colonial times in our school time. We recently learned about Sundays in the colonies. We had a short project to tell about something that was illegal on Sundays. Gresham drew a made bed since making your bed was illegal on Sundays in the colonies. Kace drew a man shaving since shaving was also illegal. Silas had a slightly different assignment - he had to write how Sundays were the same and different in our time and theirs. Turns out it was illegal to kiss your mom on the lords day in colonial times. Silas thinks it was a horrible thing to believe about Sunday as Sundays surely should mean more kiss for me...can't argue with that logic!!
